A short poem written to mark the end of my probation period in Infineon Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. I'm in the team, I'm in the team, It gives me joys to think. I'm no longer the 12th player, Though never did it occur,I wasn't as much a member. The game ahead is challenging, I may falter and still need a patting, 'Coz I'm green and naïve And the team is all experienced and suave. I may not score a century, But I assure the ball shall definitely hit a few boundaries. I may miss a catch or two, But shall surely send a few on duck too. I'll try my best not to a wide or no ball throw, And in running between the wickets, not get out and go. I've played a few innings, And might not have been outstanding. It was pleasant Monday morning, The alarm clock was screaming. Lying on my bed yawning, I postponed awaking. Last night I had made a mess, I felt,from a hectic schedule,it was a recess. I stayed awake till late, As I was chatting on internet. Now fantasy met reality, And I cursed my irrationality. Rubbing my eyes,I gazed at the clock, Alas!There wasn't a free slot. I put off the alarm, And jumped out of the bed without a qualm. Getting ready was like a race, I couldn't miss my bus, in any case. The daily chores seemed like hurdles, Being an old player I had mastered the riddle. Though breakfast still remained out of itinerary, Timely reaching the bus stop was always a higher priority.
