Inscrutable Expressions!

The strand of hair fluttered about her face, caressing her every now and then, as if in complete submission to her beauty. Her blank straight face posed a contrast, made all the more stark by the absence of any cue. An emotion would have been an acknowledgment, the indifference seemed unnecessary an authority over submission.

"Your dreams, however trivial they might seem, are very sacred. Do not bargain them for anything, they are essentially yours. If you lose them, you shall lose a part of yourself, never to be found again. If someone wants to be with you, they should accept you as one complete whole, and not as pieces they chose to approve of you."

Twas a scream that only she could hear, enveloped by the silence around. It's shrillness like the chilly winter breeze cutting through her ears. She made a deliberate effort to let it pass, but it seemed impregnable. It instead passaged its way inside her, like a cold hollow, deeper and deeper so long as it became unbearable to contain and she wished she could divulge it all at once...

One half of me is a maverick untame; One half of me is utterly insane; One half of me yearns for attention; One half of me rebels restriction; One half of me grows morose when lone; One half of me fears unknown; One half of me loves like crazy; One half of me thrives on fantasy; One half of me thinks a thought myriad; One half of me never learnt to give up; Unfortunately, the other half follows the first! ;)

Is there madness in the air or I'm in psychedelic, For emotions are on the loose; Unfettered they soar me on a marijuana-high, Or swirl me down the dungeon low.

To the Writers' Bloc: There are times in Life when the words flowing out of your pen obviate the need for a companion!

Just so untouched she had always been, So untouched she shall be; The emotions that once swelled inside her, Are nowhere now to be seen. Lips pursed tight she sits in a corner, Into the hollow she stares; No dreams, no hopes, no expectations, There isn't a sign of a demeanor. Just so untouched she had always been, So untouched she shall be; Once there lived a pretty damsel, Her life's melancholy akin a solitary stream.

You need just one initial inspiration to get started; the others are borne out of you.

Nature has its own bitter-sweet ways of communicating. One fine day you wake up just to find yourself in a holy mess. Everything that can possibly go wrong - does! The time when you curse yourself muttering "WHY ME?". :( And just on the contrary, some other day looks perfectly tailor made. You feel like a King, on top of the world. Everything falls in place and aligns in harmony. Things happen effortlessly one after the other, as if on their own. Not to mention the tincture of pleasant surprises and you chuckle amazed - "Feels so lucky!" :) Today I had one such terrible day. Everything went topsy-turvy. I found myself struggling to put up with my chores. I felt frustrated with how just everything was going wrong like an array of glasses toppling one over another. I clung on, though in despair. And to my relief, the ordeal ended in a Serendipity! I decided to call it a day with a cup of hot lemon tea. And just when the last few sips of my tea were left, I n...

When the road ahead is rough, don't you worry - walk on; for tender feet never conquered mountains, only the bruised hardened soles did.

She walked, they walked along. She fell down, they moved on. She rose stronger; and she never needed them again.

I believe in Friendship. I do. The one and only one with "no strings attached", yet so strong as to conquer the greatest distance - distance to your heart!

[In reply to a friend's poem on the ephemeral nature of clouds...]   कविराज आपकी रचना ने बादलों का क्षणिक रूप है दर्शाया, लेकिन इसी छवि से बादलों ने आसमान को हर तरह से है सजाया | हर मन  की आकृति को सजीव यूँ उकेरा आसमान के दामन में, कि अनजाने ही  जुड़ गया रिश्ता इन मेहमानों से | बादलों से कृपया हों ना यूँ खफा, इन्हें भी खलता है होना यूँ जुदा | तभी तो ये रोते हैं, बरसते हैं,  बारिश के पानी को तो पपीहे भी तरसते हैं | फिर क्यूँ ना हम भी इन्ही के रंग में रंग जाएँ, खुशियाँ और गम के फेर में इनसे मुह ना चुराएँ | प्रकृति के नियमों  की ना कर सका है कोई अवहेलना, परिवर्तन है नियम सदैव, लगा रहता है मिलना-बिछुड़ना | फिर ये कैसा अपवाद ,ये कैसा भेद, कर रहा जो मन भ्रमित, क्या बादल की ही तरह मनुष्य भी नहीं  कुछ  पलों  का मीत?

एक दिन ये साँसें थम जाएँगी, ओस की तरह वक़्त के पन्नों पे जम जाएँगी; धुआँ हो जाऊँगा चंद लम्हों में, तारा बन के टिम टिमाऊँगा आसमान में; यादों में बस जाऊँगा यूँ, चाहकर भी ना आ पाऊँगा फिर; आँसुओं से ना मुझे विदा करना, उनमे बहकर कहीं खो जाऊँगा; हँसी की तरह अपने चेहरे पे सज़ा लेना; जब भी आईना देखोगे नज़र आ जाऊँगा मैं.

Dew drops on the rose sit clear and round, Enhancing its beauty manifold; Sparkling in rainbow colors they appeal, But do they know its surreal; Akin fragrance, they shall not persist, The union is so short-lived; Touch the petal and they roll down quick, Out comes the sun and the trace is amiss!

चंद लम्हों की बातों में जैसे सारी ज़िंदगी सिमट गई, न था इन्कार, न इकरार खुशी कुछ यूं असर कर गई। दिल ने दिल से जो की बात, वो तो बहाना था, साथ मिल जाए दो पल और क्या पाना था ।।

The natural human tendency is to turn defensive the moment they sense slightest disagreement!

The "Right" is not always "Good" and the "Good" is not always "Right". And the subjectivity of "Good/Right" makes it all the more incomprehensible!
